Spiced Salted Chocolate Bark w/Nuts
This is an easy way to make a quick dessert mixing a sweet or semi-sweet chocolate with a slightly salty touch. You can make variations of this by adding Doc’s sauces, hot spices, and cinnamon. The Sea Salt adds a slightly elevated taste....
1-10 oz Org. 72% Chocolate chips or
Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips or 72% Chocolate Chips
1 tsp Coconut Oil
1/4 C. Walnuts or nut of choice or Doc’s Sweet Nuts
3 TBS Doc’s Hot Sauce (more if you fancy)
Sea Salt
Cinnamon to taste (sprinkled over lightly)
Double Boiler Method: (microwave method below)
-
In a small pot add water and heat to boiling
-
Heat in a double boiler of the top bowl or pot, add coconut oil and chocolate till melted
-
Warm up Doc’s sauce separately so it doesn’t seize in the chocolate
When chocolate has melted add:

(Note: It may cool fast, especially if you are adding hot sauce to it, so work quickly) Pour into a pan that has been lined with WAX PAPER.
-
Spread chocolate evenly as thin or thick as you like. (Note: If thick, it will take longer to solidify, but it’s still great!)
-
Add 3 TBS Doc’s Hot Sauce quickly stirring in over the chocolate
-
Sprinkle or drop on top the 1/4 Cup of Nut of choice or Doc’s Sweet Nuts before it cools, spreading it as evenly as possible
-
Sprinkle with Sea Salt as much or as little as you want
-
Refrigerate for 1 hour until firm
-
Break into pieces, and store in an airtight container or plastic bag at room temperature or store in the refrigerator. It can last longer there!
