Banana Cradles

Kids love this treat.  So do the big (Adult) kids! 



  • Cut foil to fit the banana and wrap inside 

  • Leave the banana in the skin laying on it's side

  • Cut a slit through the banana but not through the skin on the other side  

  • Carefully cut it open like a banana split or a Cradle

  • Place the banana in the foil and separate the banana enough to fill with the following ingredients or ingredients of your choice.  Use as much or as little of each you can fit in it


Fill with:

Almond Butter or Peanut Butter or Nut butter of choice

   or Nutella

Chocolate Chips

Doc's Spicy Sweet Nuts

Marshmallows (homemade is great)

Almond Butter



  • Wrap in Foil

  • Grill or Bake at 450 degrees 6-7 min.  Check at 5 min. for your desired results.


Other topping suggestions:

> Doc's Peach Ember or >Doc's Reducer or any of Doc's Sauces

Almond Butter or Peanut Butter

      (Toppings for after it's cooked: Fresh Strawberry slices, fresh raspberries or fresh blueberries)

Dried Cranberries

Carob Chips or Chocolate Chips 

Chocolate Covered Raisins

Crushed Graham Crackers (homemade)

Granola (homemade)

Drizzle a little honey


This dessert is very filling and delicious!
